Institut Paul Bocuse (IPB) in Lyon-France and Relais & Chateaux Hotel Chain are looking for six candidates, composed by 2 Israelis, 2 Arab-Israelis and 2 Palestinians to enroll in a 3 years course at IPB-Lyon. The goal of this project is to have Israeli-Arab-Palestinian young people study and work together in the sectors of food, beverage and leisure-tourism. The studies will take place in Lyon-Fr
ance at the prestigious site of this magnificent Institute, and will include students from other nations, who are interested in working in the Middle East in the fields of tourism and gastronomy.The 6 candidates will become skilful professionals in an area of the world where tourism is a fundamental source of economic development. Their acquired pragmatic knowledge will allow them to find jobs right after they finish their education; having a professional future for young people will be a vector of peace.

Studying and working together with passion, the students will get to know each other better, develop human contact and therefore show that working together enables them to live in peace and be an example for other generations.

Profile of candidates:
A French high school diploma in a general, technical or professional specialization.
or
A European high school diploma, an international baccalaureate (IB)
or
A high school diploma enabling access to undergraduate studies
Since the studies in Lyon are in French language, students are required with either DELF (Diploma for Studies of the French Language), Level B2
or
an equivalent of the TCF (test of knowledge of the French language).
Level B2 obtained on the DELF exam or 420 points obtained on the TCF exam. Candidates would be legitimate obtaining the B2 level by February 2013.

Timetable of the Project:
1. Candidates must submit their CV and all other documentation by e-mail to ipbcandidate@gmail.com, by September 15th 2012.
2. We promise to respond to all applications upon receipt
3. An assembly of judges will analyze all applications and will invite appropriate candidates for one or two personal meetings by October 15th 2012. In which the candidates will present themselves before a panel and will communicate their beliefs and capabilities. Candidates will also be subject to a personal interview.
4. End of October 2012-all chosen candidates will be informed of their acceptance to the program
5. Until March 2013 they will be obliged to learn and perform their French language skills in order to enroll through the 3 years of studies in Lyon
6. March 2013-candidates will meet and participate in “Seeds for Peace” session for up to one month period, while having French language rienforcement-if needed
7. April 2013, all 6 candidates will start their 3 years studies in Lyon with full scholarships

The candidates will study together and thanks to the partnership with Relais & Chateaux will participate through 6 months of internship in the hotels and restaurants of the group wherever they wish, including the Middle East and Maghreb (northern Africa), with a possibility of Dubai, Emirates and Qatar.
Each scholar, returning to the region after graduation will refund 30% of his/her scholarship back to IPB. The refund will begin a year after the scholar finds a job for 3 years that follows. The students shall obligate to devote their time and efforts to the IPB’s activities, as shall be requested by IPB for a period of two years following their graduation.
Meanwhile, a cooking school similar to IPB-Lyon is meant to be built in Jaffa or Nazareth, and will open in October 2016. It will respect the diversity of all Mediterranean / Middle Eastern cultures with a restaurant of application inside the school where the public can come and dine meals prepared by the students. The cooking school will host about 60-80 students per year and will be under the supervision of IPB-Lyon. Graduates of the program will receive an internationally recognized diploma within 3 or 4 years.
